Activity schedule and registration form are available at this link (Click Here) Skirmishes at select locations, marches through Old San Juan, and opportunities to answer questions from the public.

 

Who is invited:

We welcome all units. If not from late 18th Century, we would take the opportunity to explain the time in history to which those units belonged. Napoleonic units are welcome. We would very much enjoy showcasing Napoleonic units and their role in history. It would also show the evolution of armies at the beginning of the 19th Century.

 

Cavalry Friendly?

Cavalry/horses are welcome at events; however, arrangements are the responsibility of the visiting unit or party.

Family Friendly?

The event is family friendly. Children and spouses are welcome. Reenactment activities require period dress; if not in  period dress, there are many other ways to help during the events – logistics, video/picture taking, etc. Please contact the Regimiento Fijo de Puerto Rico directors for further details

Food:

Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided. Sunday breakfast and lunch will be provided.

There are many restaurants and bars nearby

 

Accommodations:

Reenactors are encouraged to stay in the Ballaj‡ Barracks with all reenactors. There are many choices in Old San Juan or nearby for accommodations. Please reach out to the directors for further details.

 

Straw, Water, Wood:

Cavalry/horses are welcome at events; however, arrangements are the responsibility of the visiting unit or party.

Weapons, Powder, etc.:

Bringing your own musket, sabres, and bayonets is encouraged.

Powder cartridges will be locally provided to event participants

Entertainment:

Any music, dancing, singing from your period is encouraged. You are welcome to bring your instruments and items of interest.

 

Special Preparations:

San Juan is a tropical destination. Drinking enough water is recommended and being able to wear linen/cotton fabrics is encouraged.
